Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using MacroLens ("the App"). By using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using MacroLens, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
MacroLens is a nutritional tracking application that uses artificial intelligence to analyze photos of food and provide estimated macronutrient information (calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, and fiber).
3. Accuracy Disclaimer
Important: MacroLens provides estimates of nutritional content based on AI analysis of food images. These estimates are not guaranteed to be accurate and should not be relied upon for medical, dietary, or health decisions.
- Nutritional estimates may vary from actual values
- The App is not a substitute for professional nutritional advice
- Consult a healthcare provider or registered dietitian for dietary guidance
- Do not use MacroLens to manage medical conditions such as diabetes without professional supervision
4. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and device. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized access to your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Upload images that do not contain food or that violate others' rights
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or compromise the App
- Use automated systems to access the App
- Resell or redistribute the App or its content
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Free Tier
MacroLens offers a free tier with limited meal scans. Once the free limit is reached, a subscription is required for continued use.
MacroLens Pro Subscription
- Subscriptions are billed monthly through the Apple App Store
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon purchase confirmation
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
Refunds
All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store. Refund requests must be submitted to Apple according to their refund policy.
7. Intellectual Property
MacroLens and its content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our permission.
8. User Content
You retain ownership of the food images you upload. By using the App, you grant us a license to process your images for the purpose of providing nutritional analysis. We do not claim ownership of your content.
9. Privacy
Your use of MacroLens is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT NUTRITIONAL ESTIMATES WILL BE ACCURATE.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR HEALTH OUTCOMES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MacroLens and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
14. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the App.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where the App operator resides.
